Racing Against BRCA: Bonus Clip #7 - Drains

Drains-
In this bonus clip, the Nurse does a great job explaining how to "milk" your drains. This video is not for the faint of heart! I still get a little woozy watching it, but it's super informative to know what to expect with your drains. My mom did most the "milking" when I got home and I just felt that it was easier having someone else do it, but I have heard a bunch of people say they did it themselves. 

As for getting the drains out, the best way I could describe it is, it was like someone pulling a slimy snake out from under your skin. I know, gross! It's over in seconds and the second side isn't as bad as the first, because by then you know what's coming. It's not painful, it's just a really odd feeling.
